January 26, 2026

It snowed last night. It reminded me of a time I was working security at Beazley Fields. The fellow I was relieving at 8 am would be my relief at 8 that evening. It had snowed during the night and we were attempting to shovel him out so he could go get some sleep. A small bobcat plow went by and saw us with two small shovels, having at it. He came up the driveway and dug buddy's car out. I later created a blog called Sometimes God Drives A Snow Plow, based on the old saying that God works through people. I didn't see a snow plow this morning, but I did get a few offers from sponcees to come shovel me out.  I appreciated the offers but I still have two feet and a heartbeat, so I shovelled myself out. I lost an old friend yesterday, a guy who helped me renovate our home almost 20 years ago. He was the type of guy always willing to help me out with home repairs. I'll miss him.
