It's the 13th of April already. At least, it's not a Friday. Temperature is starting to rise outdoors during the day. It's raining but that's what happens in April, you know april showers bring may flowers. I planted some bulbs last fall before the first frost. Buttercups. the stalks are starting to poke through so in a few weeks they ought to be sprouting flowers. I do have a dahlia plant indoors and some sweet basil. I'm getting a few more pots because I have lettuce, kale, spinach, and broccoli and I will probably pick up dill, parsley, maybe a few other herbs. I want to put them in pots so I can tell them apart once they start growing.

I'll likely pick up some more flowers for the garden itself, to add some color to the place. It may be too soon to tell, but I might have scared away the rodents. A friend of mine suggested putting a trickle of pinesol around the perimeter of the trailer. I tried that and strangely, I haven't seen any. Time will tell.

This summer, I'll need to paint the deck and power wash the siding and skirting. It's getting cruddy in spots. Need a new screen door and the roof needs some work. I'm retired so what the heck.
