 I can never figure out how other people can blog page after page so early in the morning. I think about the day that is coming and the things I have to do. I avoid discussions of politics, war, world hunger, rising crime. Not thinking about those things doesn't mean they aren't happening. I pray for the families of the folk killed in the shooting out west. How a person can think that they have the right to decide who should live or die, it's beyond me.

My day is pretty ordinary compared to other person's days. I started with two daily readings, one from AA and one from Al-Anon. Then, I picked the word from my god box. Expectations was the word today. I know that it is not wise to place too high expectations on the people around me or on how the day will go. I go to church this morning. Service takes about an hour, then there's a coffee hour after the service. I baked some cookies for that.

The district 2 GSR meeting is today and since I am the District Committee Member, I'll be chairing that meeting. I'm hoping to elect a treasurer today which will take some of the pressure off me. We'll have to see how that goes.

I usually meet with a sponcee this evening and then I host an online meeting at 8.

So, there's a lot to do today.
